Doctor of Philosophy and Doctor of Arts degrees are offered to educate university, community |college, and junior college teacher/scholars in the fields of English, history, chemistry, economics, and human performance. The Specialist in Education degree is offered to educate administrators, teachers, and counselors at advanced levels for elementary and secondary schools. Four degrees—the Master of Education, the Master of Arts in Teaching, the Master of Science in Teaching, and the Master of Business Education—are offered to educate public school teachers, supervisors, counselors, and administrators. The Master of Arts and the Master of Science degrees are offered to prepare candidates for further graduate study and research, for teaching at the junior college level, for professional positions in a variety of fields, and for positions of leadership with state and federal agencies. The Master of Business Administration is offered to prepare candidates for leadership positions in business and industry, and the Master of Criminal Justice is offered to prepare leaders in the criminal justice system.
