Doctoral Program in Computational Sciences (COMS)
Doctoral Degree Plan
Students will choose their dissertation advisor and the members of their dissertation
committee after completing their qualifying exam and before their course work has been
completed. At least members of the committee must be from at least two academic
departments. When the dissertation director is not a member of the COMS program, a
dissertation chair from within the program must be selected. Otherwise, the
dissertation director and the dissertation committee chair are the same person.
