ISPE-CCPIE China Conference 2010
ISPE-CCPIE China Conference 2010 will be held on 26-29 October 2010 in China National Conference Center, Beijing,
China (CNCC).
Highlights include speeches by SFDA and US FDA officials, manufacturing facilities tours, and seven session topics:
Cleaning Validation, Solid Dosage Forms, PQLI®, Technology Transfer from R&D to Production, Commissioning and
Qualification, Sterile Drug Manufacture, Computer System Compliance.

ISPE Annual Meeting 2010
With the theme of “Discovering What’s Next: Reality, Retooling, Growth”, ISPE Annual Meeting 2010 will be held 7-10
November in Orlando, Florida, USA. It will help answer what is next in pharmaceutical industry and how to prepare for
it. During the four days, there will be 11 different education tracks to meet your knowledge needs.

Membership & COP News:
China successfully launched first COP offline event
The first China offline Critical Utilities (CU)-Water COPs (Communities of Practice) was successfully held in
Renaissance hotel Tianjin on 23 July, 2010, and this was the first COP offline activity in China.
Xu Bin (Novo Nordisk) and Xie Jingjun (NNE) delivered fantastic speeches regarding WFI and Water purification
project respectively. 15 delegates were present in this COP offline event. Participants think highly of the content
delivered by the two speakers. Some said the presentations are very practical and helpful to their daily work, they hope
more of these events held in the future. The fact that this event is held in Chinese is also a reason why it is welcomed.
ISPE China plans to establish the local COP groups in Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (API)、Good Automated
Manufacturing Practice (GAMP)、Sterile Products Processing (SPP)、Commissioning and Qualification (C&Q), and
hold offline activities in Shanghai, Tianjin, Beijing etc.

ISPE International Board of Directors Election
The International Board of Directors election is launching from 10 Aug until 12:00 AM (Midnight) EDT on 17 September
2010.
ISPE members will receive an email with a personal URL to the election site. This personal URL cannot be used by
anyone else and could only be used once. Reminder emails will be sent on 10 September. Members without an email
or with a bad email address will receive a postcard with voting instructions.

technical guides in Chinese, deliver presentation at offline COP events, share industry experience with students or
young professionals.
Volunteers will have chances to interact, network, and learn from fellow subject matter experts as return, you may not

Student Facility Tour in KSP
Kanghong Sagent Pharmaceuticals Co. Ltd. (KSP) has arranged a facility tour for students in Sichuan University
Student chapter under the facilitation from Andreas Bahne (leader of Student & Young Professional Subcommittee of
ISPE Greater China SC). Over 60 student members will luckily participate in this plant tour in September this year
under lead of their teachers. They will be able to have a close look at the first full closed pipeline in Asia which just
completed.
