What is a Residence
Hall Association (RHA)?
What is the Resident
Student Association (RSA)?
The RSA is a group devoted to
enhancing the residential experience for all
on-campus students. Events like our
award-winning Casino Night bring the
whole campus together for an exciting
& atypical night at UPS.
Casino Night
Our refrigerator rental, linens
programs, and new student Dance and Root
Beer Floats during Orientation aim to
make your transition to Puget Sound
more convenient and
comfortable.
Within each residence hall, an RHA is
formed at the beginning of each year and is
made up of a President, Programmer, Secretary, Treasurer, and Publisict These representatives work closely with the RSA at General Council meetings and with their RPA
(Resident Programming Advisor) and RD
(Resident Director) at individual RHA
meetings to foster a residence hall community.
All RHA and RSA meetings are
open to ALL students.
What do we do?!
Each week, your RPA & five executive
members meet to plan events like ice
cream socials, game nights, BBQ’s, tiedye & field sport days, and whatever
else your imagination and collaboration brings!

Brainstorm program ideas & necessary materials

Manage your hall’s budget

Support UPS’ commitment to sustainability

You’re working not only to enjoy
your freshman year, but to foster
a fun, safe & inclusive community
for every resident in your hall.
Find a need for a hall vacuum cleaner? Are there too few recycling toters? Is a microwave in your hall broken, or a printer out of paper?
RHA is more than a party-planning
committee; it is a useful resource
with connections to all parts of residence life & campus services.
