(RN to BSN Articulation Agreement (AA)) Transcript Prerequisites Checklist
To be eligible for the transfer of credits under the RN to BSN AA, an applicant must enter a N.C. Community
College nursing program on or after Fall 2015 and must earn an AAS degree in a N.C. Community College with
a GPA of at least a 2.0 and a grade of C or better in all RN to BSN AA Courses.
The following additional criteria are all required for admission eligibility to the RN to BSN Program:
 Cumulative 2.5 GPA at time of application
 Submission of the WCU Office of Admissions Application and the RN to BSN Program Application packet
by the application deadline

Acceptance into the RN to BSN program is based upon the School of Nursing's Office of Student Services
unofficially evaluating all transfer coursework. Student Services will complete transcript evaluations and
process applications for admission, however, the WCU Registrar's Office has the final decision on how courses
will be transferred for students upon acceptance into the RN to BSN Program. In the event that the Registrar's
Office determines a course not to be equivalent to a prerequisite, students must complete any pending
prerequisites concurrently with the program curriculum. Any acceptance to the University does not guarantee
admission to the RN to BSN Program.
For additional program and admission information, including application deadlines and prerequisite
criteria, visit nursing.wcu.edu. Applicants are ranked and accepted based on the following criteria: number of
prerequisites in process, NCLEX passed, and cumulative GPA, but all admissions requirements must be met
before beginning the RN to BSN program. For additional assistance please contact RN to BSN Student

Scholastic Status Check: Each student is expected to know the information in the catalog and to verify that
qualitative and quantitative requirements for a particular class rank and for proper progress toward graduation
are being met. All students should check official records, degree audit and transcript periodically to confirm
their status. The university does not assume responsibility for the student’s unexpected failure at the last minute
to meet all requirements for graduation, whether failure is due to misunderstanding or negligence concerning
those requirements or to an inability to meet them (see WCU Undergraduate Catalog).
