James Leedy Named New UCPath Center Executive Director
I am pleased to announce that James “Jim” Leedy has joined the UCPath Center as Executive
Director. The University of California is fortunate to have attracted someone as talented and
experienced as Jim to head this critically important venture.
Jim joins the University from Tanberg Data Corporation, where he served as Worldwide Director
of Finance since 2007. In that role, Jim managed Tanberg’s finance, legal, payroll, human
resources, and facilities organizations. Jim’s experience includes 18 years with Hewlett Packard,
where he managed a 200+ person shared services organization that has direct applicability to the
UCPath Center.
Jim is a graduate of Mount Union College, holds his MBA in Finance from Baldwin Wallace College
and graduated from the Accelerated Development Program of the Wharton Executive MBA.
Jim begins his new role immediately and will be based at the UCPath Center in Riverside. Prior to
the Center opening, he will work in Oakland along with the UCPath Center implementation team.
As Executive Director, Jim joins Gayelea Allison and Bryant Bailess as the third member of the
UCPath Center executive team. Both Ms. Allison and Mr. Bailess joined UCPath this fall, as
Operations Director and Customer Service Director, respectively.
By investing in new technology, processes, and deploying a shared service center, UCPath will
improve services for every UC campus and medical center.

building and managing the UCPath Center.
