Factored Leave Accrual
Why Factored Leave Accrual?
• Why are we moving to Factored Leave
Accrual?
The switch to factored leave is part of UC
San Diego's efforts toward
standardization with other campuses.
This change is being done in preparation
for UCPath.
2
Who Will be Affected?
• All exempt and non-exempt Staff
employees will convert to Factored
Leave Accrual
3
What is Factored Leave Accrual?
Leave accruals for
employees will be
calculated using a
pre-set, standardized
factor. This factor is multiplied by the
number of hours on pay status during the
pay period to achieve the leave accruals.
