2014 ACADEMIC ACHIEVEMENT CEREMONY
THEORECTICAL AND APPLIED SCIENCE
The 2014 TAS UNDERGRADUATE BOOK PRIZE goes to DANIELLE BARA.
Danielle, an Environmental Science major, was secretary of InterVarsity Christian Fellowship
and a member of Relay for Life and Newman Catholic.
She presented her research poster on tree selection and use by red-bellied woodpeckers at
the 2014 TAS Student Research Symposium.
In June 2013, Danielle traveled to Southern Africa with International Student Volunteers
where she participated in habitat assessments and environmental education at Masebe
Nature Reserve and the local community.
Danielle will be working on a TAS Honors research project about American Chestnut trees
during her senior year and hopefully will become involved in research or fieldwork after
graduation.
