SALAMENO SCHOOL OF INTERNATIONAL AND AMERICAN STUDIES
Our outstanding student in History is RUTHANN INSERRA.
Ruthann is a member of the Alpha Lambda Delta, Kappa Delta Pi, and Phi Alpha Theta
Honor Societies as well as the Ramapo College Dance Company and History Club. She
interned for the American History Textbook Project at Ramapo, worked in the Center of
Academic Advisement and First Year Experience, and was a Peer Facilitator.
After finishing her student teaching experience at the end of this semester, Ruthann
hopes to become a High School History teacher and then pursue a Master's Degree.

The outstanding student in TEACHER EDUCATION is RUTHANN INSERRA.
Also the 2013 outstanding History award winner, Ruthann made the Dean’s list all four
years at Ramapo. She has also participated at the Phi Alpha Theta History Conferences
and this year, her paper was one of six to receive a book prize.
Ruthann hopes to become a High School History teacher and then pursue a Master's
Degree.
