Vacancy: EU research internship Policy Network is a leading international thinktank and political network based in London. Through our programme of research, events and publications, our network has acquired a reputation as the leading platform for long-term strategic thinking and international best practice, impacting upon policy debates in the UK, Europe and the wider world. We are looking for a research intern to support Policy Network’s research and event activities related to EU affairs, and to work, in particular, on a research project on the politics and midterm prospects of the EU budget. This role offers an opportunity to contribute to the delivery of a high‐profile policy research project. It also offers a platform for international networking in politics, policymaking and academia. KEY RESPONSIBILITES Conduct qualitative policy and political analysis Collect and synthetize quantitative data Monitor and analyse relevant political and policy developments in the EU Support the preparation of seminars, conferences and other events related to EU affairs by identifying possible speakers and drafting internal and external briefing documents Help commission, edit and position publications, opinion pieces and essays for the Policy Network website and Political Observatory. PERSON SPECIFICATION This position is ideal for a post-graduate or PhD-level student seeking to supplement their studies and research with work experience in a think tank environment. Knowledge and expertise in EU institutions and politics is required.
