This camp is designed to initiate, enhance, and strengthen interests in many
different aspects of science. The week will begin with experiments designed
to exemplify scientific method. These skills will then be used to learn about
genetics, mammalian anatomy and physiology, ecology, and our place in the
ecosystem. High-energy laboratory work, fieldwork, and field trips to Balsam
Mountain Preserve and Water Rock Knob will be conducted. The week will
also include guest speakers who’ll help us discover more about our
environment and ourselves. Camp Director Kim Corzine.

This camp is designed to stimulate an appreciation for our species and the
ecosystems around us. Students will conduct fun ecology experiments,
explore nature, and take field trips with emphasis on fun, interesting
kinesthetic activities. Don’t be surprised if these campers help save the
