UCL EUROPEAN SOCIAL AND POLITICAL STUDIES
Purposes of this form:
1) Preliminary Module Selection Approval by ESPS : These preliminary selections will be evaluated by ESPS to ensure you have chosen appropriate modules for your language and specialisation combination.
2) Pre-allocation of ESPS and SELCS modules : Choose the modules that you want to take so that ESPS and SELCS can reserve places on them for you. You will be notified if you do not have a place on the module(s) you select. You will then formally select the modules you have been pre-allocated when Portico opens up before the start of term.
3) All other departmental modules : You are not formally choosing your modules now. You are choosing them on this form only so that ESPS can approve them. You will formally choose and be accepted onto all other departmental modules from mid August when you select them on
Portico. Departments will start approving from the start of term.
Notes
Carefully read the Module Selection Guidelines and look at the example form available on
Moodle before submitting if you are unsure of how to fill it out. This information is available here. https://moodle.ucl.ac.uk/course/view.php?id=7167
Please type your selections if at all possible.
Priority in allocating places on ESPS and SELCS modules will be given to those who submit their form on time and with the correct number of optional modules (5).
As the official timetable does not get published until July, your selections here are preliminary and subject to change.
Please note that the pre-registration method is different for ESPS and SELCS students (but same priority is given for SELCS modules) so do not panic if you hear non-ESPS students referring to a different pre-registration process for SELCS modules.
