CASP meets in January and June to hear appeals. In the event that a voting member is unable to attend a
meeting, he/she may send a designee with the approval of the Vice Provost. A quorum is a majority of
voting members present.
Policy and Procedure 300-A: Academic Standing outlines the content and the deadline for appeals. CASP
accepts appeals only in writing and does not consider late appeals.
After considering the appeals, voting members of CASP vote to allow students to remain at the College on
academic probation or to enforce students’ suspensions or dismissals (as applicable). The Vice Provost
breaks any ties.
CASP’s decisions are forwarded to the Office of the Provost/Vice Provost for Academic Affairs, which
informs students of the decisions in writing by email.
CASP’s decisions are final.
