for a YGP three-week learning JOURNEY in Tanzania & Zanzibar, August 2016
Accenture and Young Global Pioneers are looking for two talented students from our Historically
Black Colleges & Universities (HBCUs) and Hispanic Serving Institutions (HSIs) , who are ambitious
and curious to find out how they can make their mark as the next generation of responsible leaders. Kick-start your global YGP Talent Network on a three-week learning JOURNEY in Tanzania &
Zanzibar from 31st of July to 20th of August 2016! Travel with approx. 20 selected students,
between the ages of 18-22 from all over the world and with very diverse backgrounds.
On the JOURNEY, you and your peers build relationships and form your own life-long
YGP Talent Network. You will learn from and inspire each other, while engaging in mind opening
experiences and daily facilitated reflections. On the three-week learning JOURNEY
and within our intuitive learning architecture, you will have the opportunity to:
• 
Learn about the culture, history, opportunities and challenges of the region
• 
Engage with local businesses and universities
• 
Meet up with young elite entrepreneurs
• 
Visit youth from SOS Children’s Village
• 
Learn about climate change and circular economy
• 
Spend a day on a SAFARI, spotting for lions, elephants, hippos, zebras, etc.
• 
Experience local art, music and customs
• 
Spend time with young people from Tanzania and Zanzibar with very different backgrounds

ASPIRATIONS
Young Global Pioneers establish global and diverse youth networks, aiming at inspiring young students to
become responsible and global-minded leaders. Each global and diverse YGP Talent Network is kick-started
on a three-week learning JOURNEY, designed to stimulate the young talents’ global insights, intercultural
competences and aspirations to make their mark on the world.
LEARNING
ARCHITECTURE The YGP learning architecture has been developed by Professor Subramanian Rangan, Professor of Strategy,
INSEAD, and the learning JOURNEYs have been designed in partnership with companies, universities, SOS
Children’s Village, Save the Children, WWF and other affiliate organizations.
NETWORK
FOR LIFE
The YGP Talent Network will be based on your shared experiences on the 3-week learning JOURNEY, and is
strengthened through the interaction, teamwork and discussions and reflections within the group. Upon
completion of the JOURNEY, Young Global Pioneers will continue to support and facilitate the network for
life-long friendships and global inspiration.

WHO CAN APPLY
Young Global Pioneers connects young talents from all around the world. We believe that both leadership and
talent come in many different shapes and sizes. To YGP, leadership and talent are also about striving to make
a difference, and having the ambition to make it happen. In Tanzania all activities, meals, domestic flights, accommodation and local guides are included in the
scholarship. Additionally, the scholarship recipient will receive 3.000 USD to partly cover costs such as
international flight tickets, insurances, vaccinations, visa and pocket money.
To be eligible for the Accenture Scholarship you must meet the following criteria:

Be 18-22 years old
Have a cumulative GPA of 3.2
Be currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution with a graduation date of no later
than December 2019, All majors considered HOW TO APPLY?
The deadline for applying is April 5th 2016. Applicants will hear back from YGP no later than April 12th and the
final selection will be at the end of April 2016.
