Convene regular meeting Action-Item Wendy Bass, Co-Chairperson, started the meeting at 2:10 p.m. STANDING TASK FORCE/CIO REPORT 2. Tech Master Plan The plan was presented at the board meeting on February 9, update: 2011. It will be voted on at the BOT meeting at Harbor rd College on March 23 . 3. Update of Measure J myCampus portal – participants from TPPC had the Technology Program opportunity to attend a webinar. Participants responded favorably to the portal and it’s ability for mass programming. Questions arose regarding compatibility with the new SIS system. 4. SIS SIS Evaluations – in progress with two software vendors and several implementation partners. Includes week-long vendor demonstrations of capabilities with various functional teams, and site visits to community colleges (one per software) where these systems have been implemented 1 Creation of Implementation Taskforce. Have five key areas to go through so will be about 12 meetings. Will send an email to David B requesting volunteers. Meeting tentatively scheduled for Thursday, March 10, 2-4:30 PM Investigating funding for purchasing portal now, while evaluating possible integration with new SIS system when that becomes active. DTC Update Joint TPPC/ DTC Meeting is proposed for May 19 from 12:30 at the District office to jointly consider items of concern to both committees. Smart Classroom Standards developed for technical content by the DTC are being considered by the TPPC created Smart Classroom Task force. They have also proposed a survey of all faculty to seek feedback on their preferences for equipment in the classrooms OLD BUSINESS 4. Online adds for DE courses – District Tech and programmer at East met to discuss the online add system that is currently in place at East Los Angeles College. NEW BUSINESS Minute Taker – we need to rotate people who attend the meetings to take minutes for the TPPC meetings. 2 Meeting at East with IT manager and web architect to see 1. How district can take and replicate the system 2. Is there anything we can do without having a huge investment as online adds will be addressed within the new SIS system. 3. Looking at project portfolios and see if organization can postpone another project to work on this.
