Introductions 2. Review of the agenda 3. Results of the FTLA Longitudinal Survey were presented by Cristo a. Powerpoint on the results were presented. We will be following up with focus groups of past participants. b. Kiekel and Harrington discussed the upcoming FTLA at Pierce College c. Harrington mentioned that DAS wants to do a new professional development program for newly hired faculty, i.e. “teacher college.” The committee said they would like to have a member of DAS regularly attend SSI meetings. They also agreed that FTLA and other SSI-­‐related professional development modules should be used in the DAS’s new endeavor to capitalize on what’s already working and to not “reinvent the wheel.” 4. SSI/AtD Summit Planning a. The group reviewed the three summits this year. The first one is at LASC on October 30, 2015. Harrington said she had contacted John Hetts from the statewide MMAP and Cal-­‐Pass. The first will be “Placement for Success”. The summit will focus on how the use of placement can assist student success, will include assessment prep, redesign, and acceleration models. b. Kozeracki stated that these summits should be recursive-­‐ we should go back to the themes that were discussed last year. We discussed this and said we would make the link between this year’s summits to last year’s; they are an extension of the last summits and were themes/focus areas that people wanted to discuss more, as stated during our AtD Retreat in May. c. The summit model will stay the same, however will now include a PD component d. Harrington discussed Beyond Financial Aid from AtD/Lumina Foundation-­‐they will be presenting for LACCD on November 6th. IEPI-­‐ There will be PD for this initiative. Braxton is on the advisory committee, as well as Harrington. They are looking at performance indicators and ongoing resources. Objectives that are similar to 3CSN. Harrington reviewed the Full Measure Report dashboard that the Chancellor had forwarded for consideration. The group determined that the tool be brought to the CSSO Council as they seem the most appropriate body to disseminate and vet the resource. Calendar of Events were passed for LACCD/LARN and 3CSN.
