Accreditation Self-Study Reports
Dr. Yasmin Delahoussaye distributed copies of a document entitled “2006 District Recommendations and
Commission Concern.” She summarized the document with respect to the Los Angeles Community
College District responses.
Los Angeles Harbor College
Mr. Marvin Martinez distributed and discussed a document entitled “Los Angeles Harbor College, 2012
Reaffirmation of Accreditation, Self-Evaluation Report.” He introduced Mr. James Stanbery and Dr. Ellen
Joiner, Co-chairs of Accreditation Team, Mr. Luis Rosas, Ms. Christi Lack, Ms. Susan McMurray, Ms. Abbi
Patterson, Ms. Anne Tomlinson, and Mr. David Humphreys. He deferred to Mr. Stanbery.
Ms. Stanbery and Dr. Joiner gave a PowerPoint presentation and discussed the document with respect to
Response to 2006 Accreditation Visit.
West Los Angeles College
Dr. Nabil Abu-Ghazaleh distributed copies of a document entitled “West Los Angeles College (WLAC), Our
Vision, Our Mission.” He introduced Mr. Robert Sprague, Dr. Adrienne Foster, Ms. Betsy Regalado, and
Mr. John Oester. He discussed the progress in the transformation and revitalization of WLAC. He deferred
to Dr. Foster who discussed the document with respect to the organization of and participation in the 2012
Self Evaluation process and the Accreditation Timeline.
Mr. Sprague discussed the document with respect to the Standard Committees, Planning, Program Review
and Student Learning Outcomes. He deferred to Ms. Fran Leonard who discussed the document with
respect to the five Standards for 2012 as opposed to 79 Standards in 2006, Achieving the Dream
Initiatives, the Annual Leadership Retreat, and the WLAC Mission Statement.

Los Angeles Southwest College
Dr. Jack E. Daniels III distributed copies of a document entitled “Los Angeles Southwest College (LASC)
2012 Accreditation Self-Study Summary Report and LASC Accreditation 2012: Soaring to Higher
Standards.” He discussed the LASC 2012 Accreditation Self-Study with respect to the progress the LASC
has made since being placed on probation in 2008. He introduced Mr. Daniel Walden, Co-Chair and Mr.
LaShawn Brinson.
Mr. Walden and Ms. Brinson gave a PowerPoint presentation and discussed the document with respect to
Prior Recommendations From the 2006 Comprehensive Review, LASC 2012 Self-Study Report on the
Status of the 2006 Planning Agendas, Ten 2012 Self-Study Planning Agenda Items, 2012 Self-Study
Planning Agenda Items, and Student Success Progress Report on SLOs.
