BLACK COMEDY
. . . Written by Peter Shaffer, and directed by Julia Jamison
“Black Comedy is a rollicking, Tony-nominated high speed farce
served with a twist. An unexpected power failure in a bohemian
1960's London flat triggers a budding young artist's 'night of nights'
to descend into chaos of mistaken identities, exposed secrets and unfinished business. Murphy's Law takes hold of his 'best laid plans' while a
cast of capricious characters delights us with a roll-coaster ride of complicated confusion in the pitch black. The darkness, of course, exists only
for the people onstage, since everything that happens after the electricity
has gone, in the world onstage, is performed in a blaze of stage lights”
. . . Matt Wolf, from Variety
