I, Frank Abagnale, have been selected by the University of Louisiana at Monroe’s department
head of aviation, Mr. David King, as an applicant for the 2013-2014 International Society of
Transport Aircraft Trading Foundation Scholarship Program. I am currently in my junior year of
college expecting to graduate with a degree in Aviation with a minor in Business Administration.
It is my honor to send you my application as a candidate for the prestigious I.S.T.A.T. award and
would appreciate your consideration of me as a recipient.
As you can see from my enclosed résumé, I am academically qualified, have a solid work ethic,
and compassion for others as I have volunteered with community and humanitarian services. My
passion for aviation is perceptible as is my dedication to my educational and career goals. I have
maintained a professional image throughout college while excelling in my field of studies.
