Duration of meal plan contracts Term 1: begins with supper on Saturday, August 30, 2014 and finishes with supper on Tuesday, December 23, 2014. Term 2: begins with supper on Sunday, January 4, 2015 and finishes with supper on Wednesday, April 30, 2015. Closed during the November break (Nov. 9 – 15, 2014) and the February break (Feb 15 – 21, 2015). The Garry Dining Room in Marquis Hall is the primary location for meal plans and provides unlimited dining for breakfast, lunch and supper. Please visit www.usask.ca/consumer_services/culinaryservices/ for hours of operation and additional information. All meals at Marquis Hall are “unlimited dining” buffet style. While students are welcome to eat what they like, we encourage you to take only what you will eat and take responsibility to reduce wasted food. You cannot take food out of the dining room. Taking food from the dining room could result in non-­‐academic discipline. Your meal plan is non-­‐transferable. It is valid for and usable only by the person to whom the plan has been sold. •
You cannot cancel one meal plan and then select a different meal plan. •
Meals must be used before the end of the term for which the plan was purchased. Term 1 meal plans expire on December 23, 2014 following supper. Term 2 meal plans expire April 30, 2015 following supper. Choose your meal plan carefully, as missed or unused meals will not be reimbursed and cannot be carried forward into the next term. If you have special dietary needs or concerns, you must consult with Culinary Services before signing your residence lease and food plan agreement. The University reserves the right to make adjustments as needed to meal times and locations. Culinary Services reserves the right to refuse service if you are not carrying your valid student meal card. Additional food services provided at no charge to you include the following: 1. Late night snacks: Monday to Thursday 8:30 -­‐9:30 p.m. Snacks consist of beverage, pastries and fresh fruit. Culinary Services reserves the right to discontinue this program at any time. PLEASE NOTE: you are required to present your VALID student card to access your Marquis Hall meals and your RCC. •

RCC can be used at any of our designated University Culinary Services retail outlets year round. For a list of locations and hours of operation, please view: www.usask.ca/consumer_services/culinaryservices/. Please note that USSU food services do not accept the RCC. When using your student card to access your RCC, please inform the cashier that you are paying for your retail food purchases with your RCC (Residence Cash Card). GST is charged at the time of purchase on the RCC portion of your plan. Revenue Canada’s ruling on Campus Meal Plan dining is that your RCC dollars can only be spent on food related items. You cannot use your RCC to purchase merchandise or gift cards. Page 3 of 4
Cancellation Policy •

RCC dollars are non-­‐refundable. Term 1 RCC$ expires December 23, 2014. Term 2 RCC $ expires April 30, 2015. The Voyageur Place lease can be terminated by giving written notice to the Residence Office if you are moving out of Voyageur Place. Your notice will be considered to have been given when you receive confirmation from Residence Services acknowledging its receipt. Please refer to your lease agreement for specifics relating to cancellation. ID Card Use: •

For your protection and security, you are the only person authorized to use your ID card. If your meal plan has not been activated, please call Culinary Services at 966-­‐6791 Monday to Friday 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. If your ID card is lost or stolen, inform the Campus ID Card Office and obtain a new card as soon as possible. As the card holder, you will be responsible for all purchases made using the card until you notify the Campus ID Card Office. When you receive your new ID card, please advise the Culinary Services’ office so that your meal plan can be transferred to your new card number. Your meal card is required for entry into Marquis Hall and to make RCC purchases. Meal Plan Fact Sheet Benefits of purchasing a Meal Plan • The plan is less expensive than if you were to purchase the same number of meals at regular retail price (e.g. lunch is $8.04 on meal plan A, compared to $10.45 + GST for cash-­‐paying customers) • The Marquis Hall portion of your meal plan is not taxed so you can save over $230 in GST. • Marquis Hall, Culinary Centre offers lots of variety. Meals are cooked in smaller batches, allowing fresher products and home-­‐cooked flavour. • We can better accommodate special diets for students on the meal plan. • Marquis Hall meals allow for unlimited dining at all food stations. While students are welcome to eat what they like, we encourage you to take only what you will eat and take responsibility to reduce wasted food. • In keeping with our commitment to sustainability, all meals at Marquis Hall are served using china and silverware service, rather than disposable dishes and cutlery. • Marquis Hall overlooks the Bowl and offers one of the best dining room views on campus. • Extended meal times allow you the flexibility to use your plan when it is most convenient for you.
