spanning disciplines and borders. ITraP is an exciting initiative
that offers new opportunities to graduate students interested
in interdisciplinary team science and One Health approaches
to complex issues.
Curriculum
The Program

Infectious disease outbreaks and food safety issues can lead to

industry and academia.
Promotes team science and studentled learning through intensive case
studies and advanced seminars.
Explores One Health approaches to
resolve real-world problems at the
human-animal-environment interface.
Generates international connections
through participation of students and
faculty based worldwide.

academia, industry and government in
curriculum development and
externship placements.

Facilitates a broad learning
environment and work experiences in
different parts of the world and with
diverse organizations.
• Academic courses: ONEH 800 & ONEH 801.
• Week-long international summer school.
• Externship placement to apply training to
novel One Health challenges.
Who Should Apply?
• Thesis-based graduate students who wish
to develop a broad understanding of One
Health, infectious disease mitigation and
food safety are welcome to apply.
• Applicants will be selected based on skills
and experience in leadership, strategic
planning, system thinking, management,
communication and collaboration, as well
as academic excellence and potential to
contribute to the program's success.
• Scholarships are available to eligible
students as a supplement to current
funding.
