Promise and Potential: Project Terms of Reference Project: Red Tape Commission as of January 15, 2014 Description: This project is intended to identify inefficiencies and bottlenecks in University processes, requirements and structures that impede the ability of staff, faculty and students to carry out activities associated with the learning and discovery mandates of the University of Saskatchewan. Although the university has undertaken a number of initiatives to streamline aspects of its operations (such as the changes in graduate program approval and the Service Program Enhancement (SPEP) project), there are still irritants and blockages that could be addressed. The commission will engage in consultation with key players, and also solicit input from the members of the University community at large, in an effort to produce a report with recommendations for implementation by the Provost’s Committee on Integrated Planning (PCIP) and University Council.
