Workshop Description:
With a population now over 7 billion and growing,
Planet Earth is getting crowded! In this free, threehour workshop, discover lively, interdisciplinary
activities that help students understand the
human ecological footprint and the challenges of
sharing finite natural resources as demand grows.
Engage in role-playing simulations, problemsolving challenges and critical thinking exercises
and build students’ knowledge and skills in math,
science and social studies.
Teachers will receive classroom-ready curricula
that emphasizes hands-on learning and balanced
discussion of different viewpoints. All activities are
matched to state and national standards.
