ENE requires only 3 credits for their equivalent Chemistry II course. Other “elective” courses may be taken to satisfy the UNCW University Studies and NCSU General Education Program requirements; however, they must be selected carefully. Ideally, elective courses should double/triple count to satisfy multiple categories of requirements. Consult the academic advisor for more information. 3 CSC 131 fulfills the EVS Computer Requirement in place of CSC 105. Python is the preferred computer programming language of ENE at NCSU; however C++ and Java are also acceptable. 4 If COM 101 is taken at UNCW (equivalent to NCSU’s COM 110), students should take GIS 410 or TDE 220 as the Graphics/Communication Elective at NCSU. 5 Courses listed in red will be taken through the NC State College of Engineering Distance Education Program. 6 EVS 441: Advanced Field Methods in Environmental Science or 470: Advanced Natural Resource & Wildlife Management is a Physical Science Option core requirement. 7 EVS 364 at UNCW transfers to NCSU as PS 320: US Environmental Law & Politics. 8 This course could count as an EVS Physical Science Option Elective. 9 ST 370 fulfills the EVS Statistics Requirement in place of STT 215. 10 Environmental Engineering Electives: See http://www.ce.ncsu.edu/academics/ for departmental approved list. 2 Last Modified: 2-5-2016 NC State General Education Program (GEP) Requirements: To complete the requirements for graduation and the General Education Program, various categories of credit hours and co-requisites must be satisfied. NCSU approved GEP course lists for each category can be found at: https://oucc.dasa.ncsu.edu/general-education-program-gep/. Equivalent UNCW courses that satisfy NCSU GEP requirements can be found at: http://uncw.edu/preeng/CurrentStudents/currentNCSUGeneralEducation.html. UNCW University Studies (US) Requirements: To complete the requirements for graduation, various categories of credit hours must be satisfied. More information about the US program can be found at: http://uncw.edu/universitystudies/.
