Diversity Project The diversity engagement is the only core project left on our list of projects
There were concerns of the level of student participation in this project Send out the interview to the student body first and determine how to proceed with our projects after their feedback
• It is important to have solid ideas of what we want to do as SENSSA and package them in an appealing way so that students want to get involved
• Engage SENS department in the diversity project as they might be interested in partnering with us
• Social media and international food festival to be included as part of the diversity project Student Interviews • We need to create a platform where we can informally interview students to see which projects they are interested in (winter party or a formal interviews?)
• These interviews need to be one-‐on-‐one • Each SENSSA member to be in touch with 10 people for the one-‐on-‐one interviews • Sub-‐committees will be formed to work on different projects
• Krystal and Kathleen will form a sub-‐committee to iron out the survey/interview questions
• It was suggested to add a social network component to the interview questions • Include a diversity question on the student questionnaire Alumni Relations • Krystal to present this project at the faculty meeting to see what structures are in place to engage the alumni
• Possibly paring new students with the alumni (include this question on survey)
• Strike this off our agenda City Festival Waste Diversion • There are concerns that this is too large of a project for SENSSA and we should rethink our level of involvement
