Applied Learning Requirement: This requirement can be met by completing 3 credits in one of the following: SPN 490, SPN 491, SPN 498, or SPN 499; or 6 credits of study abroad in Spanish at the intermediate level or above; or EDN 409 for Teacher Licensure Students. Further Explanation for Spanish Majors: • One 400-level course may be substituted for one of the required 300-level courses. • For requirements for a Major in Spanish for the B.A. degree with Teacher Licensure, see the separate worksheet. • All classes, with the exception of SPN 491, 495 and 499 are for 3 hours of credit. SPN 491 and 495 may be taken for 1-3 credits. SPN 499 may be taken for 2-3 credits. • Only 3 credits total permissible in 491 and 498 to count toward the major
