Tenure track faculty are given a 3-credit hour workload reduction to develop and enhance a program of scholarship that will move them toward the goal of tenure. 1 faculty was awarded tenure effective Fall 2013;1 faculty reappointed Actions Taken Filled 9 teaching faculty positions, coordinator of the simulation learning center, and 1 distinguished professor in gerontology position. NSG 403 has a 120 hour clinical capstone in each student works directly with a nurse preceptor in the clinical setting. NSG 405 has been approved as an applied learning experience for University Studies and NSG 403 has been approved as a capstone course for University Studies. RN BS Program – Faculty are revising the service learning activities in NSG 405 Community Health Nursing and Capstone Experience. Practice experiences are being developed based on the 2013 AACN White Paper for Practice Experiences for RN BS Nursing Programs. Health Education Systems INC (HESI) – The HESI Exit Exam is administered by course faculty in NSG 403 1 month prior to graduation. PreLicensure Council facilitates analysis of findings and changes needed.
