TealTV produces Seahawk Central News, Seahawk Central Sports, and

Atlantis magazine
UNCW’s student magazine of the creative arts, featuring poetry, short
fiction and nonfiction, and visual art. Distributed to more than 30 locations on and off campus three times a year, and yielding a high pass-along

Production Sponsorships
Each episode of TealTV’s Seahawk Central News airs on a two-week cycle, rotating
three times weekly on The Learning Network (TimeWarner Cable channel 5) and 15
times weekly on UNCW’s closed-circuit CHWK network. Each sponsor credit airs
twice per show, yielding 72 on-air credits per episode. Additional programs are also
available, including Seahawk Central Sports.
The Learning Network reaches tens of thousands of homes
in a three-county area.

Display Deadlines
Space reservations and ad copy are due one week prior to publication date (Thursday prior
to publication).
Pre-Printed Inserts
Full press runs only (2000 pcs.). Min. size, 5” x 6”; max. size, 8” x 10”, flat or folded. A
sample of the insert must be submitted for approval two weeks prior to shipping inserts to
the printer.

All rates are non-commissionable (net).
Electronic Submission
Ads may be sent on removable media or, if under 5MB in size, as email attachments to
ads.uncw@gmail.com. For print ads, we prefer PDF or JPG files. We do not accept Publisher, Word, PowerPoint or other low-resolution files. Please embed fonts or include all
fonts used in the file (Mac fonts only). We reserve the right to substitute similar fonts for
those not provided. Use CMYK for all print color. Image resolution should be 300 dpi.
For online ads, we accept Flash, gifs and jpeg images. Use RGB colors and a screen resolution of 72 dpi. Ads may be animated but may not contain sound. Maximum animation
length: 15 secs. Maximum animation frame rate: 24 fps.
Cancellation
Advertisers will be responsible for 100 percent of the price of any display advertising canceled after deadline. Changes requested after deadline may not be possible.
Right of Refusal
UNCW Student Media reserves the right to reject or cancel, at its discretion, any ad
deemed objectionable or misleading.

Responsibility
The advertiser or advertising agency assumes all responsibility and liability for the content
of advertisements, inserts and for any claim, expense or loss resulting from the publication or non-publication of such items in UNCW Student Media publications. Submission
of copy or images for inclusion in an advertisement shall constitute certification by the
advertiser that any necessary releases and permission to use such materials have been secured by the advertiser. With regard to the publication of an advertisement, the advertiser
will accept full responsibility including, but not limited to, claims of libel, infringement of
right of privacy, plagiarism, or copyright violation.
Payment Methods
Check or money order payable to UNC Wilmington. Visa or MasterCard, using our
secure online payment portal. Contact your sales consultant for instructions. A three
percent surcharge is applied to credit/debit-card payments.
Tearsheets
Proof of publication will be mailed to advertisers upon publication.
Contract rates and discounts will be adjusted to the applicable open rate if an order is not
fulfilled as agreed upon.
Credit & Billing
Prepayment is required for all advertising unless the advertiser is approved for billing.
Approved advertisers will be billed upon publication. Payment is due 30 days from invoice
date. No further advertising will be accepted after an account is 60 days past due. After 90
days past due, accounts will be referred for collection.
By N.C. law effective July 1, 2013, we must charge interest and penalties on all past-due accounts. Simple interest of five percent will be charged from the date the account becomes
past due until it is paid in full. The penalty rate is 10 percent of the original past-due
amount.
Complete terms and conditions are enumerated in the advertising agreement.
