Areas of study available include: anthropology, biology, business, chemistry, computer science, drama, foreign languages, geography, history, marine biology, music, philosophy, physics, political science, religion and social sciences. Housing At Hull, most UNCW students live in single rooms in university-managed houses, apartments or residence halls equipped with kitchens. These are normally within a five to ten minute walk from campus. Meals are also available in inexpensive student cafeterias. Student Life Hull is frequently voted one of England’s friendliest universities, welcoming 2,000 international students annually from over 100 countries. Social life is an integral part of the Hull experience. The university offers more than 100 societies and clubs for the use of students. Those interested will find an active International Student Association that sponsors day-long and overnight trips to other scenic sites in the United Kingdom. In the city of Hull, students will find waterfront shopping, parks and leisure facilities as well as a marina and aquarium. The old town’s cobblestone streets are lined with museums and shops. Cost This program is available as an Exchange or as a Study Abroad: • Exchange – This means you pay your regular tuition and fees to UNCW, and your room and board costs abroad. • Study Abroad – This means you pay your tuition, fees, room and board abroad. With each option, there will be additional costs for international airfare, passport, visa, health insurance and local transportation. Please meet with an advisor at the Office of International Programs to discuss which option is best for you. Financial Aid & Scholarships Surrounding Areas Hull is centrally located in the northeast corridor of England, situated midway between Edinburgh, Scotland (to the north), and London, England (to the south). Day trips are available to York, Oxford and Stratford-UponAvon, with longer adventures to Ireland and Continental Europe available as well. For the avid traveler, ferry transportation is available with nightly departures to Zeebrugge, Belgium and Rotterdam in the Netherlands.
