Western Illinois University’s Expanding Cultural Diversity Project (ECDP) and Dealing With
(DWDI) has addressed issues of diversity, social justice and activism with
campus community to Speak Out, Step Up, and Stand Together.

Dr. Fannie Rushing, Professor of History, Benedictine University (Chicago, Illinois)
Fannie Rushing is a civil rights veteran. She was a volunteer for the Student Nonviolent Coordinating Committee (SNCC) where
culture of African people in Latin America and the Caribbean.
