A) Application Deadline
Consider payment due dates and commitment deadlines to third parties. With that in mind, the application
deadline will default to December 22 for Short- Term Spring, March 20 for Summer, and August 19 for Short-Term
Fall unless you indicate an earlier deadline here:
B) Application Requirements
Once your program is approved and this form is submitted, your program will appear on the OIP application
portal: https://appserv02.uncw.edu/IntProgApp/, through which all students must apply.
What additional application requirements or pieces do you wish to add to for you program, if any?
Provide OIP with details or directions for additional pieces, if applicable. Examples include a personal statement
addressing X, two printed passport pictures, a statement verifying you can hike 5 miles and lift 25 pounds, proof
of SCUBA certification, an interview with the program leader, etc.:
C) Program Qualifications
The minimum UNCW education abroad requirements for your program are as follows:
 Have at least sophomore academic standing at time of participation (You may accept first-year
students if this requirement is adjusted now through OIP by request below)
 Be a degree-seeking student at time of participation
 Have at least a 2.5 cumulative GPA at time of application
 Be in good judicial standing

When: Wednesday November 5, from 10:00 am -2:00 pm (set up at: 9:15)

Will you or program representatives participate in the Study Abroad Fair?
This is a great forum for program promotion. We will have zones of tables representing program countries, so
while you may not have your own table, we will reserve real estate for you if you can attend for all or part of the
time. We will have available any program brochures produced through International Programs (provided you
have submitted your brochure content by the deadline noted above).
