Some courses listed above may be taken in an alternate year and order. Students should ensure all pre-requisites are met. Some non-business related courses are suggested because UNCW has Writing Intensive (WI) and Information Literacy (IL) Competency requirements. Not all NCCC courses have been evaluated; to see if the suggested course at your institution has already been determined to meet our requirement, look at the UNCW Registrar’s website under “how a course will transfer.” Students must earn admission to the CSB in order to obtain the BS degree. A minimum gpa of 2.7 and other Admission requirements can be found at http://www.csb.uncw.edu/advising/admissions.htm No grade below “C-“in concentration courses. 1 Students are required to obtain proficiency through the UNCW 201 (numbered 211 at NCCCs) level of a language previously studied or the 102 (numbered 112 at NCCCs) level in a third language not previously studied. 2 If the foreign language proficiency is complete, students may choose a General Elective course. 3 If the foreign language proficiency is complete, CIS 110 is suggested, not required; any General Elective is acceptable. 4 ENG 231 is suggested, not required; any course fulfilling UGETC Humanities/Fine Arts requirement is acceptable. A WI course is preferred. 5 Not required for the AS degree. UNCW accepts up to 64 hours from a 2 year Institution; a student may elect to transfer additional General Elective hours to count toward the 124 required to graduate. 6 For NCCC transfer students, STT 215 will fulfill the CSB requirement of QMM 280. 7 Any Business course (not including those listed) at the 300 level or above. 8 If WI and IL requirements are not yet met, UNCW students may need to select General Electives which fulfill these competencies. 9 If a student elects to bring in 63 hours from a North Carolina Community College, only 29 credit hours would be required in Year 4.
