Title: First Assistant Volleyball Coach and Second Assistant Volleyball Coach (2 Positions)
Major Responsibilities:
Under the direction of the head coach, assist in the planning, promotion and administration of all phases of a quality
Division I volleyball program.
 counsel and monitor student-athletes in academics, athletics and personal matters
 assist in maintaining a competitive Division I schedule, daily on-court training, player development, team travel coordination and summer camp programs
 assist in developing a strong recruiting base of top-quality athletes
 assist in the development of promotional activities to build support of Eagle volleyball in Rock Hill and the surrounding communities
 assist head coach in all volleyball-related matters
 perform other duties as may be assigned by head coach
Minimum Qualifications:
 bachelor’s degree required; two years of Division I coaching experience preferred
 proven ability to train and recruit at the Division I collegiate level
 ability to accept and carry out assigned program responsibilities
 ability to communicate effectively and work well with students, parents, faculty, staff and the community
 ability to pass the NCAA recruiting test and have a thorough understanding of NCAA rules and regulations
 a demonstrated commitment to high academic standards for student-athletes and their ability to succeed both academically and athletically is essential
Employment Conditions: A 12-month, full-time appointment. Coaches are responsible for adhering to the policies, procedures and regulations of Winthrop University, the Big South Conference and the NCAA. Salary dependent upon qualifications and experience.
