Specificity
ab17795 shows strong immunostaining in Graves disease tissues, intermediate staining in
papillary and follicular thyroid cancer, and no staining in Hurtle cell cancer or in nonthyroidal
tissue.

Use a concentration of 1 - 2 µg/ml. Detects a band of approximately 75 kDa
(predicted molecular weight: 69 kDa).
IHC-P
1/50. Perform heat mediated antigen retrieval before commencing with IHC
staining protocol. Boil tissue sections in 10 mM citrate buffer, pH 6.0 for 10
minutes followed by cooling at room temperature for 20 minutes.
ICC/IF
Use at an assay dependent concentration. PubMed: 23342072

Use 1µg for 106 cells. ab170190-Mouse monoclonal IgG1, is suitable for use as

Predicted band size : 69 kDa
Observed band size : 75 kDa
Additional bands at : 46 kDa. We are
unsure as to the identity of these extra bands.
Exposure time : 12 minutes Sodium Iodide
Symporter contains a number of potential
glycosylation sites (SwissProt) which may
explain its migration at a higher molecular
weight than predicted.

antibody (ab17795, 1µg/1x106 cells) for 30
min at 22ºC. The secondary antibody used
was DyLight® 488 goat anti-mouse IgG (H+L)
(ab96879) at 1/500 dilution for 30 min at
22ºC. Isotype control antibody (black line) was
mouse IgG1 [ICIGG1] (ab91353, 2µg/1x106
cells) used under the same conditions.
Acquisition of >5,000 events was performed.
This antibody gave a positive signal in MCF7
cells fixed with 80% methanol (5
min)/permeabilized in 0.1% PBS-Tween used
under the same conditions.
