July 31, 2014 It’s Truly Been an Honor COD Multimedia Services Producer and Director Kevin Willman (left) with WWII veteran Bob Agramonte during one of the trips sponsored by Honor Flight Chicago, an organization dedicated to celebrating and honoring WWII veterans. Several years ago, Willman created an Honor Flight documentary with support from Cantigny in Winfield. Since then, he’s been volunteering his time by documenting every Honor Flight and providing each of the veterans with a DVD of their experience. Willman said he is proud to participate in honoring this historical generation and that one of the most gratifying aspects of this service during the trips is the appreciation that citizens show the veterans. “It’s great to see how amazed the veterans are with the people who come up to thank them for their service and want pictures with them,” Willman said. “This happens at every stop we take.” Read More It’s Been a Hard Day’s Night… Beautiful weather and one of the most revered Beatle’s cover bands on earth attracted nearly 2,000 fans to attend the American English live performance at the MAC’s Starlight Pavilion. COD served as a highlevel “Rockin’ Sponsor” for this popular event, which was attended by more than 10,000 guests. COD handed out gift items and information about the College’s Veterans Services program. In addition, the volunteers ran a teddy bear “hospital clinic” for children (above). As a 501(c)3 non-profit organization, Operation Save Our Troops (OSOT) provides comfort and care at home and away for active duty military, families and veterans.
