The end of kindergarten is a busy
time! Here is a sneak peak of
what is happening in May and
June. More information will come
home later about each event.
*Thurs 5/26: Science Day
(Kindergarten parents are invited
to school to see what we’ve been
learning about plants, fish, and
earthworms. 11:15am & 3:00pm)
*Mon 5/30: No School (Memorial
Day)
*Wed 6/1: Summer Birthday

On Wednesday, May 18th, all
kindergarten students will have the
opportunity to eat lunch at school
during their regular class times.
Cheese pizza will be served that day
and the students will also have
access to the fruit and vegetable
bar. A cookie will be given to each
child for dessert. Each child should
bring $2.55 (CASH ONLY) for lunch
and milk. Mrs. Hubert and Mrs.
Wadenstierna will introduce the kids
to the lunchroom process and the kids
will get to purchase and eat their
lunches in the “big kid” cafeteria.
Morning students will eat at 11:00am
and afternoon students will eat at
1:00pm. We understand that all
students might not like the lunch
choice, however we ask that you do
not send a packed lunch with your
child. Please understand that this
event is to provide kindergartners the
opportunity to learn how the
lunchroom works at SCE. We have
found that this greatly reduces
anxiety about eating lunch at school
in first grade. Please contact us
ASAP if you have any questions or
concerns about this fun event!
