Reeves School of Business Writing Across the Curriculum (WAC) Plan Part I. Goal Reeves School of Business students will further develop their written communication skills in order to learn how to effectively communicate through the completion of written assignment(s) focused on writing mechanics; discussion and analysis; and critical thinking techniques. Part II. Writing Enrichment Course Details Reeves School of Business Program Required Courses For the Accounting, Business Administration, Entrepreneurship, Financial Economics, Management, Marketing, and Sport Management majors, BUS 3520 – Business Law I: at least 15 pages of writing; at least 20% of the course grade. For the Accounting major, ACC 4900 – Auditing: at least 15 pages of writing; at least 20% of the course grade. For the Business PGA Golf Management Concentration, PGM 3040 – Business Planning and Golf Car Fleet Management: at least 15 pages of writing; at least 20% of the course grade. Reeves School of Business Non-Required Course For the Financial Economics elective, ECO 4520 – International Trade and Finance: at least 15 pages of writing; at least 20% of the course grade. Gold Standard Exceptions BUS 3520 – Business Law I may have class sizes greater than the gold standard recommendation of 25 students. BUS 3520 – Business Law I may utilize adjunct facility instead of the gold standard recommendation of using full-time faculty. Part III. Rubric A standard Reeves School of Business rubric is used for grading of written assignments within Business Law I (BUS 3520), Auditing (ACC 4900), Business Planning and Golf Car Fleet Management (PGM 3040), and International Trade and Finance (ECO 4520).
