Whereas, Methodist College, a private church-supported institution of higher learning, Carolina, won the Dixie located Greensboro at Intercollegiate Basketball Tournament Championship 7 defeating College for ||3 to Fayetteville, Athletic the |972-73 North Conference season by 90, setting a record for o » pcints scored by a winning team in a championship game; and 9 Whereas, Methodist College Basketball Team, under the fine coaching of Gene Clayton, compiled an overall record wins 12 of |6 and 5 losses with Harry Flipping, who scored 32 points in a single championship game, being voted "most valuable the conference.
