8 ANNUAL REPORT
MC TODAY - SEPlEMBER
1991
1990 LOYALTY FUND REPORT
To Friends of Methodist College:
This Annual Report honors those supporters of Methodist College who were generous donors during 1990. The college received $1.4 million in gifts
during the year from all sources. Many individuals and companies made gifts, both large and small. The support of the United Methodist Church and its
agencies was constant and significant. The college shared in the monies distributed by the Independent College Fund of North Carolina. Foundation support
was instrumental in the completion of the March F. Riddle Center for Physical Activities. An analysis of gifts is shown on the back cover.
The mission of Methodist college is to develop responsible members of society by providing a liberal arts education grounded on ethical values and
academic excellence. That the college has, over the years, achieved this goal is demonstrated by the accomplishments of its graduates.
To continue to fulfill its mission, Methodist College must receive the support of its alumni and friends in the years ahead. The college is strong; to remain
so is a challenge that can only be met with the assistance of present and future supporters who are willing to share their resources wisely and generously.
We offer our sincere thanks to those who made contributions to Methodist College in 1990. We need and solicit their continuing aid. We encourage
prospective donors who seek to make an investment in education to consider Methodist College as a worthy recipient of their gifts.
Sincerely,
