Weeks of: May 9-26, 2016
Units: Ocean Life/ Our Favorite Things
AM Activities:
We will be pretending to explore the ocean and beach. We
are learning about Ocean creatures and their environment.
We are learning an Ocean song and imitating the behavior of
sea creatures.
We will be making an ocean scene and learning about the
creatures that live there.
We will be drawing Spring Matman to compare to Fall
Matman.
PM Activities:
Hand print fish bowl
We will be writing our own Sea story
Octopus art
We will be making a list of our favorite things. All of the
things that were the most fun this year at preschool. We will
do all those things again! “Our Favorite Things”
W e are finishing out ABC Books, Number Books, Lowercase letter
books, and our “All About Me” books. W e are drawing Matman
and counting down to summer break.

May 13 : Multicultural day at Wyandot-Full school event- PM only
th AM and PM classes
Wyandot Field Days: May 25
Last day of Preschool: May 26. End of the year celebrations for AM and
PM classes.
Dramatic Play: Beach, picnic, fishing

Essential Question:
How can I protect my environment?
W hat Lives in the Ocean?
people affect the environment and I can talk about difference between what helps and
hurts our environment.
I will only use the materials that I need, with help.

I can tell you about ocean life and which animals we need to protect.
Science Experiment:
We will learn how a squid or Octopus protects itself
by using ink.
