WATER FOR SOUTH SUDAN
The fifth graders in Ms. Brunst’s and Mr. Erwin’s homerooms are running a fundraiser
to help raise money that will be used to construct wells in South Sudan, where clean
water is a rare resource. The students initiated this fundraiser as a response to our
recent read aloud, A Long Walk To Water by Linda Sue Park. The students wrote
argumentative essays about why people should donate to the organization, and
shared these with SCE classrooms.
Cash donations (whether $1 or more) can be brought into homeroom teachers
through Friday, May 13.
