Why Should You Join the DWE PTO?
The Daniel Wright Parent Teacher Organization offers an invaluable link between students, school
administration, teachers and families. Without you and your support it would not be possible for the DWE PTO
to continue to sponsor events and provide much needed contributions to our school and enrich the education
experience of your child(ren).
All of us know that our children are more successful if we as parents are involved in our child’s education.
Joining the DWE PTO offers you the opportunity to make positive changes in the school, shows an interest in
your child's education and activities shows greater support for his/her teachers and improves the relationship
between parents and school personnel. Some main reasons to become an active participant in PTO are:

It’s a great way to meet other families with children the same age as your own.
You will be a greater part of your children’s early learning experiences.
To help raise money for a great cause - your children’s education.
Get to know the teachers to understand their needs and ideas.
Learn how the Administration, school policies, and how you can offer assistance.
It’s one more way to meet and talk with the Principal and Assistant Principal.
You can create, plan and execute fun events for the whole family.
Make new friends and build camaraderie.
Experience the feeling of self-worth through volunteering your time and seeing your efforts pay off in
the smile of your children and their friends.
We understand that people have very busy schedules and that time is precious, therefore we appreciate any
time you can spare. Volunteers are always needed to chair committees and work events but if you cannot find
the time, monetary contributions are always welcome as they help immensely to defray the cost of putting on
events.
