Application Information - Hipstamatic Entrepreneurship Award
The College of Fine Arts & Communication is pleased to formally request applications for the
Hipstamatic Entrepreneurship Award.
The Hipstamatic Entrepreneurship Award has been established to annually recognize and award
$5,000 to an exceptional graduating student in the College of Fine Arts Communication, Department of
Art & Design who intends to pursue an entrepreneurial venture.
Eligibility
Any graduating student in the College of Fine Arts Communication, Department of Art &
Design.
Application Process
Eligible students shall submit an application form, a degree progress report, a discipline specific
portfolio, an essay speaking to the student’s entrepreneurial aspirations, a plan for use of the
funds with a detailed budget, and up to three letters of recommendation from individuals
familiar with the applicants’ work and potential. All materials must be submitted on a flash
drive or CD /DVD by Noon on Friday, March 15, 2013 to the College of Fine Arts &
Communication Dean’s Office for review by the Hipstamatic Entrepreneurship Award
Committee.
Selection Process
Selection will be made by a committee comprised of the College of Fine Arts & Communication
Executive Committee, a faculty member of the Department of Art & Design, and a faculty
member from the School of Business & Economics. The selection committee will review all
application materials and interview finalists to determine the annual award recipient.
