For Immediate Release Catalyst to Keynote Renowned Text Mining and Applied Mathematics Conference
Denver, Colorado, April 9, 2010—Catalyst Repository Systems announced today that Catalyst's founder and CEO John Tredennick, along with Catalyst's VP of Operations Bruce Kiefer, will be giving the Keynote presentation at Text Mining 2010, the eighth in a series of workshops held in conjunction with The Society for Industrial and Applied Mathematics (SIAM) International Data Mining Conference.
SIAM is an international community of over 13,000 individual members that fosters the development of applied mathematical and computational methodologies in various application areas. The conference provides a venue for researchers as well as other attendees who are new to the field of text mining, to learn about cutting­edge research, hear outstanding invited speakers and attend tutorials. In their session titled, Using Advanced Mathematical Techniques to Help Bring Electronic Discovery Under Control, Tredennick and Kiefer will explore real­world techniques for complex legal matters. Tredennick, a longtime trial lawyer handling these kinds of big cases, will talk about the problem space and how traditional methods for dealing with eDiscovery have failed. Kiefer will address how we use advanced clustering and search based analytics techniques derived from non­
negative matrix factorization techniques help address the problem.
