endowment provide ongoing support for the University

To educate UM faculty and staff about the importance of private support and encourage
them to make a gift to an area on campus that inspires them.

Why Faculty and Staff Give:
Impact of Support
•
The most important reason to support UM – our students!
–
–
–
–
•
Every year our collective gifts to the University of Montana enhance the student experience.
By giving, you have yet another opportunity to invest in the students you have affected, and who have likely enhanced your lives
in return.
Your gift has the potential to touch so many student lives. All UM students deserve the opportunity to maximize their learning
potential.
Because of you, our students have the opportunity to be challenged and engaged - the possibilities for educational success are
endless
Grant Funding Potential
–
–
–
–
It’s crucial to have a high percentage of employee participation if you want to land a grant. If your institution’s employees aren’t
contributing, a foundation won’t feel obligated to do so either.
A high giving percentage among faculty and staff makes a funding organization come alive and is where trust begins.
This personal financial support demonstrates board members and employees commitment to the financial health of the
University.
When foundations see grant seekers contributing it helps make a stronger case to support the project.
