HOMEWORK: Every day I will give you a homework assignment that is between 5
and 10 questions in length. Each assignment should take you less than 2 hours to
complete. All homework will be posted on my website as well as announced during
class. I nd that the best way to learn mathematics is to actually do math yourself
and do it correctly. Thus each homework will be graded as follows. Half the grade
will be based on whether you turn in the assignment on time and completed. For the
other half I will mark each problem as either correct or incorrect. If the problem is
incorrect you will recieve no credit for that problem. You will be allowed to redo any
and all homework problems to get full points back. Homework will be due the class
period after it was assigned. Any and all corrections will be due within 2 weeks.
QUIZES: Every day I will have a quiz that will be based on the previous day's
homework assignments. No calculators will be needed on the quiz. Also I will drop
four quizes thus no make up quizes will be given.
EXAMS: 2 midterm exams will be given. The tentative exam dates will be June 28th
and July 26th. The exam will be an hour long so we will be having class both before
and after the exam. If you think you might miss an exam or have a valid reason for
being away from school on the test day please tell me as soon as possible before the
exam so that we can schedule a time for you to take it before you leave.
