WHAT IS THE PROCESS FOR ACQUIRING THE NEW SOFTWARE?
•
Current Member Institutions of North Carolina Independent Colleges and Universities will need to sign a
transfer supplement that supersedes and replaces their current license with a license that is covered by
the terms and conditions of the Grant Agreement. There was no language that automatically moved
currently licensed products under the Grant.
•
Additionally, any new Member Institutions who want to license software under this agreement will also
need to sign SAS Supplements.
•
All Member Institutions will be required to provide SAS® with a contact person who will serve as their
SAS Rep and will be listed on the licensed site.

WHAT IS THE PROCESS FOR ACQUIRING THE NEW SOFTWARE?
•
Request paperwork from Deanne Duncanson (email is best).
•
Unless told differently, SAS will assume that Member Institution is licensing EAS for Teaching/Research
(SFA) and EAS for ADMIN as a part of the NCICU grant. Our advisors in the Education Practice have
determined that for the ICU institutions, these products would be a good starting foundation for both
Teaching/Research and Administrative usage.
•
We are working on a new document explaining the EAS products in depth. We will get this out asap.
•
Unless told differently, SAS will assume that Member Institution has Windows OS.
•
Member Institution can also request a document explaining the move to SAS from SPSS.
