Graduate Council Meeting Minutes 11/7/12

The meeting was called to order by Chair Borgmann.
The 10/31/12 minutes were amended and approved.
Business Items

The Professional Schools Curriculum items appended below were approved.
Additional clarification is required for the program modification in HHP and
Curriculum Instruction and a Creative Pulse Course.

One course missing from last week’s Social Science Consent Agenda, SW 410 was
approved.

The Council briefly discussed its roll in Program Review. Concerns have been
expressed regarding the time involved in the process, and whether the Council’s input
adds value to the review. There is at the very least a timing problem. The Council
should review the self-study at the same time as the dean. Council members will be
sent the Procedure and timeline for further discussion.
The meeting was adjourned at 1: 00 PM.
