Placing Energy Technology in Moratorium

As a result of the recent decision to place the electronics program in moratorium, the following steps have been taken and future steps are noted as such:

Faculty and Department Chair have been notified verbally and in writing

Faculty Union President has been informed

Students currently in the program will have opportunity to finish their degree within the AY
2016-17. Department Chair and Program Director will meet with students and develop a degree plan to meet their goals. (IN PROGRESS)

ASCRC and the Provost’s Office are informed with this proposal

Admissions and Registrar will be notified upon approval of moratorium (FUTURE)

Department Chair and Program Director will meet with Advisory Committee upon approval
(FUTURE)

Discuss future of program with industry partners and make decision to redevelop to meet employer needs, or file a Level II Notice of Intent to Terminate with the Board of Regents
