Placing Electronics Technology in Moratorium

As a result of the recent decision to place the electronics program in moratorium, the following steps
have been taken and future steps are noted as such:







Faculty and Department Chair have been notified verbally and in writing
Faculty Union President has been informed
Students currently in the program will have opportunity to finish their degree within the AY
2016-17. Department Chair and Program Director will meet with students and develop a degree
plan to meet their goals. (IN PROGRESS)
ASCRC and the Provost’s Office are informed with this proposal
Admissions and Registrar will be notified upon approval of moratorium (FUTURE)
Department Chair and Program Director will meet with Advisory Committee upon approval
(FUTURE)
Discuss future of program with industry partners and make decision to redevelop to meet
employer needs, or file a Level II Notice of Intent to Terminate with the Board of Regents
(FUTURE)
